MASTER MARROM

Marrom started to build relations with different masters in the capoeira angola world. Master Nô, an angoleiro from Bahia, who gave workshops, classes and always maintained a great friendship. Master Angolinha, an angoleiro from Rio-de-Janeiro also became close to Marrom and always supported and accompanied the recovery of capoeira angola culture. More recently master Gato Preto, Berimbau de ouro da Bahia, student of Cobrinha Verde and master of the bataria in Pastinhas academy became a patron of Marrom’s work and ideology, giving classes, lectures and always in constant contact with Marrom and his students.

In ’96 Marrom made his first visit to Europe to Paulo Siqueira in Germany and Simon Fantasma in London. Since then he has travelled regularly throughout Europe participating in events and giving workshops. In ’98 Marrom visited Africa, Dakar and administered classes for a voluntary work to develop capoeira in Africa.
